Monday's live La Liga clash could be a cagey affair and goals could be in short supply.
Malaga v Las Palmas - Monday 19:45, Sky Sports 3
Malaga couldn’t hold on to their lead at Villarreal as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw and so their winless run now stretches to nine games and they’ve dropped down to 14th. Las Palmas are also not in the best of form as they’ve lost their last two, but they remain in 11th, the same position they ended up in last term.
After a run of five straight home wins, Malaga have since picked up only one point from their last three at La Rosaleda Stadium, scoring only one goal in that time. A large reason for their dip in form is an injury to their top scorer, Barcelona youth product Sandro Ramirez, as they’re winless in the six games he’s missed this term, scoring just five goals in these.
Las Palmas haven’t won on the road since the opening day of the season when they won at Valencia as they’ve picked up only two points from their subsequent nine road games. They generally keep things tight on their travels, however, as four of their last five away have seen fewer than three goals and they failed to score in four of these. With Ramirez out for the hosts, we don’t think there’ll be many goals in this one, making Under 2.5 Goals look a solid bet at 1.89, but we’re going to go for Under 1.5 Goals at 3.6.
