Defences could rule in Saturday's League 1 clash at Stadium MK.
MK Dons v Shrewsbury - Saturday 15:00
Paul Hurst has praised the attitude of the players he inherited at Shrewsbury after leading them on a charge up the League One table with the addition of eight new faces in January - the majority of whom didn’t have any experience playing in the division. In the last seven games, the Shropshire club have produced five wins and a draw.
Speaking after last weekend’s last-gasp 2-1 win over Wimbledon, the former Grimsby boss said: "Togetherness got us the win. You have to give credit to the players who were here before I arrived. They have lost some of their team-mates. But things weren’t going well, so I felt there were reasons to make changes and I was after certain types of players, which we got."
Milton Keynes appeared to be on the verge of similar progress under Robbie Neilson but have stalled in recent weeks, failing to score in their last three matches, following injuries and suspensions to key players. Dean Lewington and Darren Potter returned last week, while Joe Walsh and Ben Reeves are expected to be available again this weekend.
Each of the Dons’ last four matches have finished under 1.5 goals and both teams appear to be better without the ball than they are with it, so that looks like the bet once again. Stick an additional point on no goalscorer at 9/1. It was a near-miss against Fleetwood last weekend and my 16-match ratings make it no bigger than 5/1 once again.
