Bury v Coventry - Tuesday 19:45

Coventry’s plight at the foot of League One looks increasingly desperate following Saturday 3-1 home defeat to Swindon but Russell Slade is refusing to throw in the towel and it might just take another heavy defeat for him to finally accept the cause is a lost one. Back resurgent Bury to clear the -1 handicap at 7/2 with Paddy Power.

The Shakers are in good shape at the moment, having taken ten points from the last available 12, keeping three clean sheets in the process, so don’t be put off by their position just above the drop zone. It remains one the season’s biggest mysteries how a club with their resources could lose 11 out of 12 league outings between October and Christmas.

But that’s water under the bridge now. An emphatic 5-1 victory over Peterborough in mid-January blew away the cobwebs while Chris Brass was still in charge on an interim basis and the arrival of Lee Clark as permanent successor has added further fuel to the fire with Bury back in the sort of form that would ordinarily see them knocking on the door of the play-offs.

Slade will probably make Coventry competitive to begin with but their predicament dictates they leave themselves stretched if they fall behind at any stage. Go two behind, dejection sets in and minds probably begin to wander towards Wembley. In those conditions, the Bury 4-0 and Bury 5-0 correct scores (at 60/1 and 175/1 respectively) aren’t totally out of the question.

Bury -1 on the handicap - 1pt @ 7/2
Bury 4-0 correct score - 0.5pts @ 60/1
Bury 5-0 correct score - 0.5pts @ 175/1
