Marseille v PSG – Sunday 20:00, BT Sport 2

Marseille have gone someway to returning the Stade Velodrome to the fortress it was a few seasons back with nine wins and just one defeat in 13 this term, all while conceding just six goals. However, look a little closer and the only times they’ve failed to take all three points have been against the current top-eight while the solitary defeat was a 4-1 thrashing from Monaco. What’s more, they’ve lost the last three times the Parisians have visited and goals have been aplenty with at least three strikes in the last six, with both teams scoring in five .

After their sensational win over Barcelona, PSG were unable to capitalise on Monaco drawing at Bastia as they too were held to a frustrating stalemate at home to Toulouse. They’ve won nine of their 13 road games this term and though they lost at Monaco they won 2-1 at top-six side Lyon, whilst last term they won four of five against such opposition .

1.7 is probably a fair price for Unai Emery’s men to get the job done but with Marseille’s improved home form and their greater attacking threat since Dimitri Payet’s return to the club, we expect them to get on the scoresheet. Back PSG to win and both teams to score, as has been the case in their last three encounters on the south-coast.
