Toulouse v Lille - Sunday 16:00, BT Sport Europe

Toulouse have played out goalless draws in their last two games and whilst the first of those was an excellent result at PSG, the other was at struggling Nancy. Nonetheless, they’re unbeaten in five and sit in 9th, six places and six points clear of their visitors Lille, who slumped to their fourth defeat in five games against Bordeaux.

Toulouse started excellently at home this term, winning their first four at the Stadium Municipal, including against Bordeaux, PSG and Monaco, but since then they’ve won only four of nine on their own turf. However, they look to be returning to some of that early season form and while two of their last four home wins have been against the bottom two the last couple have been very impressive with eight goals scored and just one conceded. That has coincided with Andy Delort’s arrival at the club as the former Caen striker has hit the ground running. Moreover, they’ve won seven of their last 10 home games against bottom-half teams.

Lille’s defensive security looks to have deserted them as they’ve kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches and recent home defeats against Lorient, Angers and Bordeaux have to be of great concern as they now look nervously towards the drop zone. Furthermore, they’ve lost all four trips to middle-third teams this season and so we’re backing Toulouse at 2.2.
