Watford v West Ham – Saturday 17:30, BT Sport 1

Watford’s four game unbeaten run came to an end at Old Trafford in their last match, leaving them down in 13th, but Walter Mazzarri’s men have been fairly consistent on home soil this term where their record reads W5-D3-L4. Three of these four defeats came against top-six sides, whilst they’ve also managed wins over Man Utd and Everton at Vicarage Road this season, so will be confident of a positive result here.

West Ham were denied a fourth win in five by an injury time equalizer from West Brom last time out, the Hammers showing that life after Dmitri Payet doesn’t have to be a painful experience. On the road, Slaven Bilic’s side have only lost once in their last six, winning three of their last four whilst scoring 10 goals. They have however kept only one clean sheet in their last 13 road trips, and 14 of their last 18 away games have had at least three goals with 11 having four or more.

Both teams have scored in 13 of Watford’s last 16 at home and in six of the Hammers’ last seven away, and that is a tempting price at 1.8. However, for a bit more value we’ll back over 2.5 goals at odds-against. Eight of Watford’s 12 home games this season have featured at least three goals, whilst there have been more than two strikes in nine of West Ham’s last 10 trips to bottom-half teams (7/10 Over 3.5).
