Back the Baggies to continue their good form against bottom-half teams this weekend.
West Brom v Bournemouth – Saturday 15:00
West Brom rescued a draw in their last game with a late goal against West Ham, leaving the Baggies unbeaten in four. At home, Tony Pulis’ side have won six of their last seven, only losing to Man Utd and scoring 16 goals. They sit comfortably in 8th, leading Stoke in 9th by five points and trailing 7th placed Everton by four.
Bournemouth’s poor sequence of results continued with a 2-0 defeat at home to Man City, though the level of their performance was better than in other recent matches. Eddie Howe’s side are winless in seven across all competitions, losing five of their last six, and have conceded twice in each of their last 10, even letting in three or more in seven of these.
West Brom have been very good at beating the teams below them this term, only losing one out of 17 and winning six of their last eight, compared with seven defeats from eight winless matches against sides above them. They’ve won each of their last seven against lower placed teams at home, scoring at least three goals in five of these, with these five games seeing at least four goals in total. Given Bournemouth’s propensity for conceding of late, we’re backing West Brom -1.5 on the Asian Handicap at 4.0.
