Don't expect title-chasing Chelsea to slip up against Swansea on Saturday.
Chelsea v Swansea – Saturday 15:00
Chelsea have stuttered recently with just three wins in their last six following a draw at Burnley in their last match, compared with their form in winning the 13 games prior to that. However, the other two games in which they dropped points came against Spurs and Liverpool, and their results at home have been impressive with nine victories on the bounce and six accompanying clean sheets.
Swansea have won three of their last four matches, with their only defeats under Paul Clement so far coming against Arsenal and Man City, and the improved performances have seen them rise up the table into 15th, now four points clear of Hull in 18th. They’ve struggled on the road this term, losing eight out of 12 games, but with victories over Palace and Liverpool in their last three away trips this is a team seemingly on the up.
Since these two sides last met back in September where they drew 2-2, Chelsea have gone on to win all seven games against bottom-six sides, keeping a clean sheet in each and leading at the break in six. With the exception of their win over an out of sorts Liverpool, the Swans have lost each of the other seven matches against top-six opposition since that 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium, trailing at the break in five of the last six. Swansea have however only failed to score once in their last six, putting us off the win to nil, and so instead we’re backing Chelsea/Chelsea half-time/full-time.
