A revitalised Leicester could have far too much for Hull on Saturday.
Leicester v Hull – Saturday 15:00
Leicester stunned Liverpool in their first game since Claudio Ranieri’s departure, leading 3-0 at one point, and the Foxes will hope the new manager syndrome can aid them to another victory here against a fellow bottom-six team. Hull have themselves benefitted from such a reaction, with their new boss Marco Silva far out-stripping expectations in his early weeks in charge. However, defeat at Arsenal and a draw at home to Burnley in their last two games have seen the Tigers drop back down to 19th, though they are just one point from safety.
Whilst Leicester are yet to win on the road all season, they’ve been far better at home where they’ve won six from 13. Indeed, over their last six games at the King Power Stadium they’ve picked up victories over Man City, West Ham and Liverpool, and while they lost the other three they were all against top-seven teams. As such, they will welcome the chance to host Hull, whom despite a recent upturn in form are still dismal on the road, losing 10 of their last 11 and scoring just one goal in nine.
Until Monday, goals been hard to come by for Leicester, though much confidence would have returned, especially for Jamie Vardy who’s performance was reminiscent of that of last season. Silva has only had tough away fixtures at Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea so far during his tenure at Hull and he can expect another one against a reinvigorated Foxes side. At 1.91, last season’s champions look too good a price to ignore.
