Is this Fulham's last chance saloon?
Fulham are starting to run out of time to mount a miraculous escape from the Premier League relegation zone, and you feel defeat against an inconsistent West Ham side could spell the end for Claudio Ranieri’s men.
The Cottagers have amassed just two away points all season, and that’s why I’m backing them to lose against West Ham and fall further into trouble. Ranieri’s alienation of popular players such as Tom Cairney and Ryan Sessegnon hasn’t sat well with the fans – though five defeats from their last six matches won’t have helped much either.
West Ham have won just one in seven, but with four points from their last two matches at The London Stadium (against Arsenal and Liverpool), you can’t really make much of a case for Fulham getting anything.
The reverse fixture ended in a comfortable 2-0 win for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, and considering Fulham have shipped 15 goals in their last six, there’s plenty of joy to be had for West Ham’s forwards.
22/25 is pretty generous for a home win on Friday.
The next tip for Friday’s London Derby is a slightly longer shot: West Ham to lead 1-0 at half-time.
Fulham have trailed 1-0 at the break away from home a whopping six times this season (that’s 46% of their matches on the road), which is why there’s definitely value here.
Interestingly, West Ham have only lead 1-0 once at half-time when playing at home, with 0-0 being the most common scoreline, but I have absolutely no faith in Fulham keeping a clean sheet for even the first 45 minutes.
My final tip is for under 10.5 corners in the match.
Both sides average under five corners-per-match this season, and only one of Fulham’s six away games against bottom-half opposition have seen over 10 corners awarded.
This is a nice little 1.5pt value banker.
