Saturday's Premier League double shoots at just under 3/1!
Brighton v Bournemouth - 12:30
Saturday’s early kick-off sees Bournemouth travel to the East Sussex to face Brighton, and I’m backing a Cherries victory/draw double chance.
Despite winning just one of their last eight matches, Bournemouth have a very good record against Brighton, and continually defy the formbook against the Seagulls.
Last season, Bournemouth beat Brighton 5-0 at The Amex, despite losing eight of their previous nine on the road, and Albion are now winless against Saturday’s visitors in the league since 2008 – a run of 11 matches.
Graham Potter’s men have been better than their points haul suggests, but the scars of the mauling last season won’t have fully healed, and they have just one win in their last eight in the league.
I expect Bournemouth to defy them once again.
Norwich v Tottenham - 17:30
Spurs are a pretty good price to beat Norwich on the road, and I believe they will.
Jose Mourinho’s men edged past Brighton on Boxing Day, but this Norwich side have just one win since September 14th, as well as earning just a single point from their last six at Carrow Road.
Furthermore, during this run of six matches, The Canaries have conceded 16 times, which is slightly ominous considering Spurs have in their side the World Cup Golden Boot winner.
There’s no doubt Spurs have been inconsistent under Mourinho, but their excellent 2-1 win at Wolves a couple of weeks ago still proves what a talented side they are.
