Football expert Ryan Elliott has two tips for Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The battle for the top four is getting unbelievably tasty, and Chelsea are still right in the thick of it.
Frank Lampard will be delighted (and relieved) that his side bounced back from their West Ham disappointment with an excellent win over Watford, and he’ll fancy taking another three points from Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The Eagles’ season, after threatening to turn into a European challenge, has fizzled out with three consecutive defeats, and they’re now playing for a top half finish at best.
As far as value is concerned, I feel backing Chelsea and under 4.5 goals has legs. Every single Palace game this season has seen under 4.5 goals, while for Chelsea it’s 85%, and while I don’t expect a particularly pretty game, Lampard’s side have more quality and desire than Palace, so they should get the job done.
There are still issues with Chelsea’s defence which need to be resolved, but only Norwich have scored fewer than Palace’s 28 goals this season, which is why I can see the Blues, like they did against another low-scoring team in Watford, controlling proceedings.
I’m also having a little nibble at Willian to score at any time.
The Brazilian has been in great form, scoring in three of Chelsea’s four games since the restart, and he’s also on penalty duty, which is another added bonus.
Olivier Giroud, should he start again, is the master of bringing players like Willian into the game, and he’s a decent price as well.
