Arsenal

Watford’s back-to-back wins against Norwich and Newcastle feel like a lifetime ago. They’ve since succumbed to West Ham and Man City which, coupled with Aston Villa’s timely resurgence, has put them in deep relegation peril.

Nigel Pearson’s sacking is a head-scratcher, and it’s hard to see where Hayden Mullins and Graham Stack squeeze any more quality out of the squad where Pearson couldn’t.

The Hornets’ body language against West Ham and Man City was really worrying; they suddenly look like a side who almost feel resigned to relegation, and Villa’s win against Arsenal was a disastrous result for them and Bournemouth.

So, while Arsenal were a big let-down in their defeat at Villa Park, I do still think evens for them to win at home is worth a nibble.

Watford have lost their last five away games, scoring just once in the process, while Arsenal have five wins from their last six at home.

It’s a price worth taking for a home win, which will likely condemn Watford to the drop.
