Football expert Ryan Elliott previews Bournemouth's trip to Everton, where the Cherries could be relegated.
Everton
It’s been a fun few years for Bournemouth, where they’ve consistently punched above their weight in the Premier League, but this looks like Sunday will be the end of the road for them.
Requiring a win at Goodison Park while also hoping Aston Villa and Watford lose isn’t the ideal position to be in, and it would be hard to argue that they deserve to remain in the division judging by what they’ve served up over the course of the campaign.
While there’s still hope, Everton’s record against Bournemouth at home is exceptional—four wins from four, scoring 12 in total—while the Cherries have lost 12 of their last 13 away games.
I don’t care how much Everton blow hot and cold, and what iota of hope remains for Eddie Howe, if your away record is that bad, against a side who have lost just a single home game since September, then you’re bang up against it.
Everton to beat this Bournemouth side at home at 13/10, especially if Villa or Watford score a demoralising early goal, could may end up looking like a steal come full-time.
It’s been a good run, but this is where Bournemouth’s journey ends.
