After their impressive summer of transfer activity, it’s clear that Everton mean business this season, and three wins from three to start the season is nothing short of a dream start.
Carlo Ancelotti, who now has a very strong squad at his disposal, will fancy his chances against Brighton, who have lost all three of their Premier League games at Goodison Park.
However, I’m actually backing a Brighton/draw double chance at odds-against.
Albion are unbeaten in their last eight away games—the current longest run in the league—and have outplayed Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle already this season, failing to get a deserved point (or three) against the former two.
Everton are rightly favourites, but Brighton look very strong as well this season, and an odds-against double chance against this Everton side, who played pretty much their strongest side in the league cup on Wednesday, still represents really solid value.
