Arsenal v Sheffield United prediction & betting tips brought to you by football expert Ryan Elliott, including a 5/6 shot.
Arsenal vs Sheffield United - Premier League - 14:00
The Blades chase their first points of the season:
- Arsenal failed to beat Sheffield United in the league last season.
- Under 3.5 goals have been scored in the last three meetings between the sides in all competitions.
- Sheffield United have lost their last six Premier League matches.
TIP: Arsenal to win & under 4.5 goals
After such a wonderful campaign last season, Sheffield United are suddenly finding things a bit of a struggle, with three defeats from three to start this term off.
Of course, it’s still very early days, and I expect Chris Wilder to turn things around, but a trip to Arsenal isn’t an ideal fixture from which to find form again.
Mikel Arteta’s men, with six points from their opening three—losing only to champions Liverpool—will fancy their chances on Sunday, although they left it late in their last home game to beat West Ham, and they’ll be hoping for a more conclusive win this time around.
In terms of tipping, I like the look of Arsenal to win and under 4.5 goals to be scored in the match. While The Gunners failed to beat The Blades in the league last season (they did win in the FA Cup, however), it’s still hard to back against the hosts considering what we’ve seen so far this season. United have been a touch unlucky, perhaps, but they still haven’t so much as troubled the scorers yet.
Furthermore, under 4.5 goals were scored in the three meetings between these two last season, while all four of United’s game this campaign have ended with no more than two goals scored.
