- West Ham have failed to win 10 of their last 11 away matches in the Premier League.
TIP: Leicester to win and over 2.5 goals
Table toppers Leicester City are aiming to make it 4 wins out of 4 as they entertain notoriously poor travellers West Ham United at the King Power on Sunday. Brendan Rodgers will be ecstatic with the attacking and clinical approach of his side in the early parts of this season, it’s no mean feat knocking in 3, 4 and 5 goals in the Premier League and with them being so destructive in front of goal it seems like it doesn’t matter if they concede because they know they have the firepower to simply outscore the opposition.
Jamie Vardy has looked back to his scintillating best whereas Harvey Barnes has gone up another level and deservedly had his first England call-up. James Maddison is now back fit and they look to have the ammunition to get the better of the Hammers here. David Moyes hasn’t enjoyed his trips away from London, it’s just the single win their last 11 road trips for WHU and although they were superb last week against Wolves I’ve yet to be convinced that they can do it off their own patch.
They may well get on the scoresheet here though, in what should be an entertaining affair. Michail Antonio has been nothing short of excellent this year and he’s now complimented with the likes of Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen and are looking like they could form a very interesting trio going forward, all like to get shots off. However, it’s the hosts I expect to kick on and get the three points.
Given the propensity for goals in both sides’ matches this season, boosting the short quotes on the home win to 11/8 by throwing in over 2.5 goals looks a good way to squeeze out a touch more value here.
