Everton v Liverpool prediction & betting tips brought to you by football expert Ryan Elliott, including a evens shot.
Everton v Liverpool - 12:30
Will Everton continue their perfect Premier League start?
- Everton are winless against Liverpool since 2010.
- The last three Merseyside Derbies at Goodison Park have ended goalless.
- Under 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the last six meetings between the two sides.
TIP: Everton to win/draw
It’s most anticipated Merseyside Derby in many, many years. Everton have won every game they’ve played this season, while Liverpool, the current champions, have to somehow pick themselves up after being utterly humiliated by Aston Villa.
At a very generous evens, I’m backing Everton to either win or draw on Saturday.
The last three games at Goodison Park between these two foes have ended goalless, and when you consider the fact that Everton are much closer to Liverpool in terms of quality than they’ve been in many years, you have to lean towards the home side to at least snatch a point.
As for Liverpool, they showed last season just what a fantastic side they are in a dominant Premier League title charge, but now they have to show some serious powers of recovery; losing 7-2 to Aston Villa is some result.
Everton have all the momentum, and at this price they’re well worth backing for the double chance.
