An assertive and proactive defender, Shaw regularly engages aggressively in duels. Within the high defensive line currently deployed by Amorim, he is often exposed during transitional moments, increasing the likelihood of him being isolated against dynamic attackers such as Semenyo and Cherki. That tactical setup presents a favourable matchup for Shaw to register a foul once again.

Antoine Semenyo has also been heavily involved in the fouls column. His foul output rises to 2.5 per game away from home, where he has committed at least one foul in eight of his last nine matches. Semenyo visited Old Trafford last month in a Bournemouth shirt and committed two fouls, and with this being his first Manchester Derby, motivation to make an immediate impact should see that trend continue and he also has a favourable matchup against Dorgu who is averaging 2.74 fouls drawn per 90 minutes.
