West Ham v Brentford

Tip 1: Konstantinos Mavropanos to be fouled o0.5 times – 1 unit

Best odds of 5/6 at bet365 while publishing.

Taking on centre backs to be fouled against Brentford has been a profitable approach all season, largely down to Igor Thiago being the most prolific fouling player in the Premier League with 64 offences to his name. The Brazilian target man’s agricultural approach to hold up play sees him whistled 1.97 times per 90 and when opposing centre backs have been fouled 17 times in Brentford’s last seven games, it’s an obvious angle to have on side.

One of those seven matches saw Thiago lining up against Konstantinos Mavropanos in the FA Cup and the Greek defender was duly fouled twice. Our man didn’t start in the reverse fixture in the league, however, Thiago fouled Max Kilman in that game and given we should see plenty of aerial duels between the pair, Mavropanos looks nicely priced to be caught late at least once by the Bees brute.

Arsenal v Fulham

Tip 2: Piero Hincapie o1.5 tackles – 1 unit

Best odds available of 17/20 at William Hill during publishing.

Piero Hincapie has been deputising for the injured Riccardo Calafiori at left back for Arsenal in recent weeks and should start there again on Saturday evening. The Ecuadorian has been getting stuck in since finding himself back in Mikel Areta’s starting lineup, making 16 tackles in his last four starts across all competitions and with an average of 2.55 per 90 across the season, we can expect him to maintain those numbers.

Lining up against Hincapie should be wing wizard Harry Wilson whose direct dribbling will require plenty of his attention. A number of full backs tasked with containing the Welshman this season have been forced into at least two dispossessions and with Arsenal likely to sit deep if they take the lead, there should be lots of opportunities for Hincapie to get a foot in.

Man City v Everton

Tip 3: Bernardo Silva o1.5 tackles – 1 unit

Best odds of Evens at bet365 while publishing.

With his announcement that he will leave Man City at the end of the season seeing many calling for a PFA Player of the Year award, Bernardo Silva has five more league games in a City shirt to leave an impression. The Portugese midfielder has been tearing around the pitch since his departure was announced, making 10 tackles in his last three starts, with at least two in all of those. He’s averaging 1.69 dispossessions per 90 on the road for the season and with this a key game in the title race, Pep will look to Silva to set the standard in terms of work-rate.

Everton are the third most dispossessed side in the Premier League this season with teams travelling to the Hill Dickinson making 18.29 tackles per game. Playing in a deeper central role, Silva will be opposing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who forces 1.7 tackles per 90. Across the Toffees last six matches, opposition defensive midfielders have combined for 25 tackles with eight different players making two or more and Silva certainly has the credentials to add his name to that list.
