A BTTS bet at a shade of odds-against looks the value call in Saturday's live Serie A clash.
AC Milan v Chievo – Saturday 19:45 , BT Sport 2
A debatable penalty and another impressive performance from wonder-kid goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma ensured AC Milan left Sassuolo with all three points. Three wins from their last four puts them just three points off the European spots, but none of these victories has been particularly convincing, and with some long-term absentees in the midfield, plus doubts over a couple of regular defenders, they may not have it all their own way against a Chievo side enjoying another productive season.
10 wins after 26 rounds is the best return for the Flying Donkeys since 2010, while on the road they’ve enjoyed success in their last two outings. One of those was at Lazio, but traditionally they’ve struggled when travelling to the division’s stronger sides. Prior to that success in the Stadio Olimpico they’d lost 10 of their last 11 trips to top-half teams.
Despite this poor record for Chievo, we can’t justify backing an unreliable Milan side at 1.67. Instead we suggest both teams to score at around Evens. AC have kept just four clean sheets in their last 15 in the league, whilst this season Chievo have netted in 11 of their 14 meetings with top-half sides, including recent trips to Lazio, Inter and Roma.
