Champions Juventus have won their last 10 games on the bounce in all competitions.
Udinese v Juventus – Sunday 14:00, BT Sport Europe
Udinese were unfortunate to leave the Stadio Olimpico with nothing after a contentious penalty decision went against them to give Lazio the 1-0 victory. It was their eighth meeting with a current top-six side this season and their seventh defeat, which includes losses in all four at home. That piece of bad luck against Lazio reflects their poor overall recent form where they’ve only picked up four points from their last nine matches, netting a measly four times in the process.
Conversely, Juventus are in fine form with 10 wins on the bounce in all competitions, and their four away games in this run all finished 2-0. Any slip-ups they’ve made this season have come on the road though, where they’ve lost four of their 12 trips in Serie A. However, three of these defeats came against strong home teams in the Milan clubs and Fiorentina, whilst they also had to manage a spell with numerous injuries to key defenders, whereas Allegri now has a fully fit squad to choose from.
Udinese have the sixth worst home record in the division this season and in Juve’s last six visits they’ve netted just once. To make matters worse, top-scorer Cyril Thereau is a doubt so the hosts look unlikely to cause the Old Lady any problems. Take the Juve win to nil available at 2.45 and a smaller stake on a routine 2-0 correct score.
