Gabriel Magalhães has developed into a consistent source of fouls won for both club and country. The Arsenal centre-back has drawn three fouls across Brazil's four World Cup matches so far and should once again be heavily involved in the physical battle at the heart of the defence.
The standout angle for this selection is his individual matchup with Erling Haaland. The pair have built up a fiery rivalry over the past couple of seasons, beginning with Haaland throwing the ball at the back of Gabriel's head following Manchester City's dramatic late equaliser against Arsenal in 2024. Tensions have remained high ever since, with another heated confrontation occurring in their most recent meeting when Gabriel appeared to attempt a headbutt during an off-the-ball altercation.
Given their history and Haaland's combative style, this has all the ingredients for another physical contest. Gabriel won't shy away from the battle and, with Haaland likely to engage in plenty of duels, the Brazilian looks well placed to draw at least one foul.

Following the same individual battle, Erling Haaland to commit a foul also stands out as an appealing selection. The Norway striker has committed four fouls across his last three World Cup appearances and is unlikely to shy away from the physical contest against Gabriel Magalhães.
The pair have built up one of the fiercest individual rivalries in European football over the past couple of seasons, with several heated flashpoints during meetings between Arsenal and Manchester City. That intensity has consistently translated into Haaland's disciplinary numbers, with the Norwegian committing nine fouls in just four previous meetings with Gabriel.
As Norway's focal point in attack, Haaland will spend much of the match wrestling with Gabriel in aerial duels and physical one-on-one battles. Given his aggressive style of play and the history between the two, another foul from the Manchester City striker looks highly likely.
