A couple of weeks ago I laid out my case for Team USA being the bet in the outright at 4/5.
They are now a best price of 8/11 and shorter with most of the books as home advantage looks to be popular among punters in the lead in.
Bradley's decision to sacrifice his spot is my main angle for backing the Americans and that analysis as well as player by player records are available here,

Dechambeau Top Overall Points Scorer At 14/1 (Four Places)
The top overall points scorer is an interesting one as there are three golfers in the top 7 of the betting who are nowhere near their peak right now.
Jon Rahm's so called excellent run of top 10s on the LIV circuit isn't as good as many people make it out to be whilst Cantlay hasn't won it what seems a lifetime and Schauffele has been average enough all season long bar a handful of solid efforts in Major Championships.
As I believe Team USA will harbour most points across the week it'll be Americans I back in this market and Scottie Scheffler is extremely tempting at 6/1.
The slight worry for him is that he's vulnerable now again with the putter, a club with which the pressure is ramped across the three days.
One who certainly doesn't shirk under the pressure with that club is Bryson Dechambeau and I'm happy to play him at more than double the odds of the favourite.
It'll be difficult to leave Bryson out of any matches across the week and there's a chance I guess he is dropped for one of the foursomes games.
That being said the Americans have a much better record in fourballs and his omission from one of the foursomes games may not prove too damaging.
Anyone who comes up against Bryson in the fourballs will be outsiders and should he pair up with Scheffler again or indeed go with Cameron Young they will be a formidable partnership in that format.
He is clutch with the putter and the course setup is bound to be perfect for him with high rough and narrow fairways.
I'd be bullish about his chances getting 2pts from 2 in the fourballs and that'll go a long way to landing a place in this market with anything more across the foursomes or singles giving him a big chance of the victory.

Robert MacIntyre Top European Points Scorer At 16/1 (Three Places)
Jon Rahm was given some remarkable respect with the bookmakers for the BMW PGA and once again he sits only half a pt bigger than McIlroy in the Top European market.
Given his experience this is understandable but if there is to be a Ryder Cup chink in his armour it could appear this year.
Raucous crowds are going to play a big part in this and whilst the likes of McIlroy will relish that it wouldn't surprise me if that hot Spanish temperament comes under the microscope.
Pair that with a similar mindset in Tyrrell Hatton and these two LIV golfers who will undoubtedly team up will be a target for the baying American fans.
I don't think he's quite the same golfer as he was last time this event took place so for my money him and Hatton are slightly weak towards the top of the market.
My preference is further down the list with Robert MacIntyre. With Team Europe having built a big lead in Rome the mini revival by Team USA during the Sunday Singles meant MacIntyre's singles game may have proved mighty important.
It didn't turn out that way but MacIntyre duly dispatched of the newly crowned US Open champion Wyndham Clark.
That meant an unbeaten debut with 2.5pts from 3 and this time around he may get another game in the foursomes.
He almost won the US Open this year and has proven now he is made for the big occasion. He is even better equipped for this format and loves the pressure that comes with it.
I expect MacIntyre to be one of the stronger members of this side and 16/1 looks like a lovely punt.

Cam Young Top Rookie Points Scorer At 3/1
Five rookies take part in this year's renewal and Rasmus Hojgaard will do remarkably well to figure in the market given he'll be an outsider in every single game unless he tees it up with McIlroy at some stage.
Henley looks set to go with Scheffler for a couple of games maybe so it's understandable why he's strong jolly in this market as low as 6/4 in places.

Spaun could be underestimated at 5/1 but my preference is for the in form Cameron Young.
I'd be so surprised if Young doesn't team up with Dechambeau in the fourballs and they should be a really tough nut to crack in that format.
Young's form makes him the fourth best player in this squad over the last three months and given he has the support of the home crowd I can see him having a really successful week.
With the atmosphere I expect cooler heads to prevail and it looked like Young's heartrate decreased if anything when he won for the first time last month at the Wyndham.
Nothing much will phase him here and he looks set to have a great debut week.

JJ Spaun To Hole Winning Putt At 25/1
I can't resist a stab at the winning putt, a market continually priced wrong the books every time this event comes around.
The best players in the team always head the market which shouldn't be the case. Whether you're ahead or behind going into the singles both sides usually front load their best players with McIlroy, Scheffler, Dechambeau and co likely to head out early on Sunday.
That leaves the winning putt/point market wide open for the outsiders who generally take their place in matches 8-12.
The most likely candidate for Team USA is JJ Spaun who was so impressive under massive heat in the Players Championship and the US Open this year.
That means Bradley can load the front of his team early on Sunday with his best players then send out the likes of JJ Spaun late who he can rely upon if the match gets very close.
Spaun should be favourite in this market as a result and looks a lovely bet around the 25/1 mark.

Rasmus Hojgaard To Hole Winning Putt At 40/1
Should the event not go the way I've expected and Team Europe have the upper hand heading into Sunday I'll have a small bet on Rasmus Hojgaard holing the winning putt.

Rasmus more than likely will be in the last couple of matches out on Sunday regardless of the score and as a result should be one of the front runners in the European squad to hole a winning putt.
It's a market that not a lot of thought goes into with most bookmakers, and certainly one firm in particular has got it up the left currently.
