Ginger Joe has picked out a 3-ball double and treble for Round One of The Masters 2026.
The Masters
Round 1 3-Ball Treble
1pt Treble at 9.8/1 (Sky Bet/Paddy Power)
Max Homa to win his 3-ball
Matt McCarty to win his 3-ball
Scottie Scheffler to win his 3-ball
Max Homa is out early with Naoyuki Kataoka and Carlos Ortiz, but I think Max Homa’s game suits Augusta much better than his playing partners. He hasn’t gone on to hit the heights we once expected, but his smooth controlled golf game allows him the opportunity to score well here and I think he takes it out of this 3-ball.
Matt McCarty takes on Vijay Singh and Rasmus Hojgaard. Vijay Singh is of course a previous Masters Champion, but the 63yo will have a tough task beating the younger players here. Ras Hojgaards game worries me a little bit at Augusta, so I will side with Matt McCarty.
Then finally to top off the treble, I am adding world number one Scottie Scheffler, who I expect to start fast this week.
Round 1 3-Ball Double
1pt Double at 7/2 (Ladbrokes)
Corey Conners to win his 3-ball
Scottie Scheffler to win his 3-ball
Corey Conners looks like one of the better value bets of the day amongst a 3-ball consisting of himself, Harry Hall, and Michael Brennan. Corey Conners is a really good golfer when he is in form and his game is well suited to Augusta, especially in comparison to his playing partners. He has had three top 10s here at the Masters, and he is playing with two debutants. He looks rock solid.
The addition of Scottie Scheffler adds plenty of value to the double.
