GOOD MISS (best price 3-1) has a near one in three strike rate, been in the frame in over half of her 19 races to date and looks good to go again today. Although stepping up in class after two wins on the spin over C&D, she is at the top of her game right now and may well have another length or two in the tank.

The pair either side of her are hardly renowned for early pace and Good Miss should have all the room in the world on the vital dash to the first bend. It all points to an early lead and, although vulnerable to the stronger sorts in the closing stages, she is taken to build a winning lead by the end of the back stretch.

She is not going to start at much of a price, but WAIKIKI ALEX (best price 5-4) is well worth an interest if her winning debut performance is anything to go by. The Steve Rayner-trained bitch improved nicely in her grading trials before blowing her rivals away with an eight-length success a week ago a two-grade hike is unlikely going to be enough to stop her following up on that.

She will need to be sharp at the start with a couple of pacey sorts on her inside but, with improvement expected, Waikiki Alex should be more than up to this task.

Sometimes a betting opportunity just leaps out of a form page and BONVILLE NANCY (best price 5-2) is very much one of those after a very pleasing debut win. She is still very much a baby, learning all the time and has shown consistent improvement in trials and again on her debut, so it is reasonable to assume that there could be a whole lot more to come.

There is a fair amount of early pace in the field but Bonville Nancy should have the edge by the first bend and it is difficult to see any of today’s rivals coming from off the pace to beat her. She could go on to far better in time.

There is a whole lot to like about BALLYMAC MACKEM (best price 9-4) in this top-grade contest and he can be backed with some confidence. He was a little out of his depth in an open race at Sheffield last time out but, prior to that, notched up a quickfire double over C&D and is very much the form runner.

His stats stack up well against the others, he goes well from trap three, has the best average sectionals and there is little reason to suppose he cannot make all providing there are no slip ups at the start.
