Paul Millward has one tip for today's greyhound racing.
New Hove trainer Belinda Green has come out of the lockdown in flying form with a strike rate of six winners from 11 runners going into this meeting. That will not have gone unnoticed with the bookmakers and the price of FREEKY PUMBAA (best price 6-4) will be skinny enough. All the same, he is in with a clear-cut chance in this sprint event and looks worth an interest, even if a moderate one.
The trainer was formerly based at Crayford and she guided the selection to seven wins from 13 runs there as he moved swiftly through the grades. He was then sent open racing and looked all over the winner on his latest start at Central Park before being barged out of contention on the run for home.
Although he needs to step up just a touch on comeback trial form, he probably only needs to turn the first bend without running into trouble and, if that is the case, he should power through turning for home.
