Andy Holding struck with an 8/1 winner yesterday so don't miss Sunday's advice.
In what looks a competitive sprint handicap on paper, the two that stand out are DEEDS NOT WORDS (best price 4/1)
and BATTLEROFTHEBOYNE (best price 7/1)
. The former ran better than his final finishing position suggested in a very warm heat of his seasonal return and a repeat of that level of form should ensure Johnny Levins’ charge is in the mix, while the latter also ran with a good deal of promise on his opening gambit of the season and has plenty of back form to count upon at today’s track.

SONNY THE ONE (best price 11/2)
has been a model of consistency in recent times and Colin Tizzard’s charge looks booked to go well once again in this competitive handicap chase. Finishing in the money in each of his last nine starts, the Toubougg gelding ran right up to his best form last time out at Exeter and even though it resulted in another frustrating second spot, the three mile trip over a stiff track is a valid excuse for his defeat. Back over his optimum conditions – 2m 4f, going right-handed on soft ground – the six-year-old rates a cracking each-way bet at 11/2.

For those that have backed US Army Ranger to win the Derby, they will be hoping that Aashek boosts the form for Aidan O’Brien’s charge, but this might not turn out to be as straightforward a task as the market suggests with the equally promising THE GURKHA (NAP) (best price 2/1)
in opposition. Making his debut in a warm Leopardstown maiden, the son of Galileo showed distinct signs of greenness throughout the majority of the race and it was only until the latter stages when the penny really began to drop. Finishing his race off with a good deal of gusto, Aidan O’Brien’s inmate marked himself down as a certain future winner of a similar contest and, with the time figure of the contest indicating it could be one worth following, he should give all the trouble the favourite can handle.
