Switched off towards the rear of the field in usually fashion early doors, the son of Sakhee’s Secret began to make steady headway turning out of the back straight and although he kept on well enough in the closing stages, he couldn’t quite get on terms with the main players as the line approached. Going through the line fairly strongly, however, the five-year-old intimated of better times ahead, and with a career record at the Dunstall Park venue that reads 1112114, another solid effort from this track specialist looks a given.

GOSSIPING (NAP) (best price 6-4) landed a well-orchestrated gamble over today’s course last time out and he looked to have enough in hand to suggest a follow-up success was very much on the cards. Not only did Gary Moore’s inmate impress with the manner of victory from a visual perspective, his overall time and sectionals point towards it being a performance of some repute. His lap time of 1.34.9 is right up there with some of the very best circuit times at the Dunstall Park venue this winter, so while still allowed to run against a similar pool of horses, he remains one to follow until beaten.
