15.15 Haydock

We head to Haydock on Saturday for our Value Tip. The Grand National Trial is a thorough test over three and a half miles and it’s going to take a brave horse to win this in what could be bottomless ground given the description. Blaklion heads the betting but he could only finish second in this last year and is 9lb higher now. He’s very much going the right way though and is obviously respected. The value may lie with The DUTCHMAN. He looked better than ever galloping on strongly over 3m1f here last time and has potential as a stayer for Colin Tizzard. He clearly enjoys his racing and if getting into a rhythm under Danny Cook might be the one they all have to catch in the closing stages.
