GENIUS, a bumper winner at Southwell on debut, is an interesting recruit to handicapping following two respectable runs over hurdles so far, with the pick of his form perhaps when only six lengths adrift of Dovecote winner Southfield Stone. Minella Fiveo is something of a course specialist, but needs to bounce back having been put in his place off this rating when in search of a hat-trick last month. Dancing Doug placed off this mark last time and is respected at the foot the handicap, with Et Moi Alors worthy of a market check.

ABSOLUTELY DYLAN was somewhat disappointing off this mark at Carlisle last time, but Sue Smith's quirky six-year-old was progressive over staying trips before that and could bounce back now back up in distance. Blinkers are tried on Mixchievous, who comes with a note of caution having run out here last time, but was a winner before that at Ffos Las so can't be discounted. Lord Getaway fell when in search of a hat-trick last time but wasn't out of it when departing that day and is another to respect.

Bertie Blake was a beaten favourite off this rating at Sedgefield last time and may need further than this to be seen at his best. Nevertheless, he looks one to focus on here along with INDIAN REEL, who was beaten less than a length at Huntingdon last time and is still well treated. Taunton third Coisa Blanco now tries a visor, while Olly Murphy's pair of Kahaleesi and No Alarm need a market check.

The main danger to the selection may be Iskabeg Lane, a track-and-trip scorer who went down by under a length off this mark at Newcastle recently.

It would come as no surprise to see him go well for his new stable now debuting under Rules, though marginal preference is for Nicky Henderson's newcomer, O CONNELL STREET, who fetched 125,000 euros and is related to several useful NH types, including City Island. Any money for fellow debutant Tango Boy would also be notable.
