SMILE AHEAD left a lasting impression when third on debut here earlier this month and could put that experience to good use here for Dermot Weld. The four-year-old was a little unlucky not to get closer to the winner on that occasion and could prove too good for Mutadaawel, who was second ahead of the selection last time but might not be open to as much improvement. Media Deal was third on his introduction but a draw in stall 11 is far from ideal.

MULZAMM's effort petered out in the closing stages when finishing a one-length third over 1m here last week and he could feasibly better that effort now cutting back in trip. Ringo Kid picked up minor money over 1m4f here last month before running twice over hurdles and is another for whom this step up in trip could be ideal. The pick of the remainder may be Poitin, who is fully effective under these conditions and wasn't beaten far when third off 2lb higher over C&D earlier in the month.
