HAMMER GUN arrives here chasing a three-timer for Derek Shaw and Paddy Mathers, and looks tough to oppose in a contest that should suit. The six-year-old likes to cut through the pack in his races and could get a nice pace to aim at with Zylan and Space Bandit set to go forward. Weld Al Emarat likes it here but steps back up to a mile now, while Showboating should also give the form of the race a solid enough outlook.

Shine Baby Shine needs a market check following a wind operation back on the Flat after being pulled up over hurdles when last seen in January, while Galileo's Spear is proving hard to win with but remains on a decent enough handicap mark of 62 for Sir Mark Prescott. Preference, though, is for TYNECASTLE PARK, who did it well here last time and has C&D form figures of 22121. The six-year-old has only gone up 3lb and looks tough to oppose.

Scott Dixon's course regular CHAMPAGNE MONDAYS was back in the winner's enclosure when coming out on top in a Lingfield match earlier this month and, racing off a 1lb higher mark, he is at the top of the shortlist. Awa Bomba wasn't beaten far at Wolverhampton last time and is respected off a 2lb higher rating, while Geography Teacher got the better of the selection on his last run over this track and trip and is another to take seriously.

LUKOUTOLDMAKEZEBAK has finished on the podium off this mark on both of his outings since returning from a 222-day absence and the six-year-old is fancied to make it third time lucky now with the form of those Newcastle contests looking respectable. The 11-year-old Tellovoi finished a place ahead of him in one of those races and shouldn't be far away, while course and distance winner Limerick Lord has been in good form of late and will be suited by the return to 1m.
