Mr Strutter ran a lot better last time than the bare result suggests (lost five lengths at the start and then hampered late on) and should be competitive lining up off the same mark, while Global Melody also warrants respect under Luke Morris.

This represents a fantastic opportunity for LOFTY to go one better than his opening second over 7f here, where he was only headed entering the last 100 yards. Ollivander brings plenty of experience to the table and is entitled to go close sporting first-time cheekpieces, while Inspired Thought, a half-sister to 7f Listed scorer Hikmaa, makes most appeal of the newcomers representing powerful connections.

BLAZON has proved to be a revelation since switched to the all-weather and Kim Bailey's six-year-old, who is unbeaten in three contests over marathon trips since the turn of the year, looks the one to side with. There is every chance he is still ahead of the handicapper having won easily once again last time and the extra two furlongs looks set to suit. Mixboy has been in good order over fences of late and the durable dual-purpose performer has to be respected off a mark just 3lb higher than his latest Flat victory, while recent Kempton third Addicted To You is no forlorn hope for a place.

The drop back in trip is likely to suit JUST WAIT as Mark Johnston's Teofilo filly makes both her first handicap and all-weather appearance. The lightly-raced four-year-old scored over a similar distance at Hamilton in the autumn before finding 1m6f just a little too far in a competitive Nottingham heat thereafter. Royal Cosmic missed out on the hat-trick last time, but the course winner is of real interest. Lovely Approach could have more to give up in trip, while similar sentiments apply to Quila Saeda, who was a winner in Germany.

TUM TUM was second only to a course specialist over course and distance three weeks ago, but shaped like the one to take from the race and looks capable of winning races here. Equidae and Long Socks both won in a lower grade last time and need more now taking on stronger opponents, while Mama Africa was just collared in the closing stages here seven days ago and merits plenty of respect.

Port Soif ran a blinder on stable debut a week ago when second and could take another step forward for Scott Dixon, while Limerick Lord has won two of his last five, including here last time, and can make his presence felt once more under a penalty. Preference, though, is for MOLTEN LAVA, who ran very well on Tapeta when finding one too good nine days ago and should appreciate this return to Fibresand now under Franny Norton.
