Masaru, a winner on debut at Windsor last summer, was sent off favourite for a big sales race at the Ebor meeting and although only eighth at York, has to be respected here. Even so, preference is for YOU LITTLE RIPPER, who was beaten less than a length into second over 1m at Newcastle and Peter Chapple-Hyam's Rip Van Winkle colt, who is a brother Group 1 winner Dick Whittington, is of real interest back down at 7f. Cristal Breeze is a 33,000gns yearling who also comes into the equation.

MAY SONIC, backed down to 7/4 favourite here over course and distance on debut, rather blew his chance when slowly away but the son of Mayson is given another chance having finished off his race with promise to be beaten less than four lengths. Jack Berry House was a surprise winner at Newcastle on his introduction and is entitled to come on for his first start for Charlie Fellowes at Chelmsford recently, while Altar Boy's racecourse experience has to be respected.

PENTLAND LAD scored with plenty of authority over C&D and is expected to remain competitive now turned out under a penalty. Zorro's Girl chased the selection home last week but may be able to narrow the gap now fitted with first-time blinkers and reopposing on better terms. A big run could also be on the cards from Fox Happy, who found 6f on the sharp side at Lingfield and will relish this stiffer test.

ILEY BOY performed with credit when third off this mark over C&D and could step up on that effort now partnered by a promising 7lb claimer. Goldslinger has been active over timber recently and is worth a market check returning to the Flat on a mark of 55. There could also be a big run on the cards from Foxrush Take Time, who appeared to find 1m an inadequate test when placed at Southwell and promises to be suited by this rise in trip.

She is bred to improve with age, and receives plenty of weight from most of this field. Collide was deemed talented enough to run in Listed company at Newmarket when last seen, while Al Hamdany and Noble Gift look closely matched based on their battle here last July when second and third respectively.

Secondo isn't easy to win with and lived up to his name when finding one too good in a Wolverhampton seller when last seen, while Mount Wellington shaped as though further was needed when third at Chelmsford over this distance. SIR OTTOMAN beat a weak field over C&D a little more than a month ago, but could prove tough to stop off just 2lb higher and this contest looks equally modest.
