STAGEHAND showed plenty of promise on her debut when a good second at Newcastle in October and the booking of Ryan Moore looks notable with likely improvement to come for the extra furlong. Maqsad was unable to build on the potential of her racecourse bow here when beaten at odds-on at Yarmouth. That said, she remains a filly capable of taking a big step forward this campaign and she is respected along with newcomers Specialise, out of a US Grade 2 winner, and Tereshkova, whose dam is a half-sister to Group 1-placed James Garfield.
Prediction : 1st Stagehand 2nd Maqsad 3rd Specialise

FLAVIUS TITUS ran some good races in defeat towards the back end of last season, including when fourth to Tabdeed, a potential Group horse, at Ascot on his latest start, and a gelding operation may just unlock the improvement required to see him get back to winning form. Tommy Taylor (sixth) and Buridan (seventh) both shaped well on their return at Doncaster last month and are entitled to be competitive once again, while Desert Doctor deserves another chance on turf on the evidence of his recent all-weather form.
Prediction : 1st Flavius Titus 2nd Tommy Taylor 3rd Buridan

Arctic Sound proved to be exceptionally tough last season, winning four of his six outings, and that quality was showcased on his final start when landing a Group 3 over C&D at the end of September. That said, he has to give weight to all of his rivals today and may struggle to concede 4lb to SHINE SO BRIGHT. Andrew Balding has begun the season in fine form, especially with his three-year-olds in this ownership, and a trio of placed efforts in Group 2 company over 6f makes him the form pick, with the extra furlong unlikely to pose any issues. Azano's second in the Horris Hill at Newbury took a significant boost when the winner of that contest, Mohaather, landed the Greenham at the same venue on Saturday and he warrants respect along with Dubai Dominion, who could have more to offer on his sixth career start.
Prediction : 1st Shine So Bright 2nd Arctic Sound 3rd Azano

Western Australia sets the form standard having placed in the Group 1 Vertem Futurity behind stable companion Magna Grecia at Doncaster at the end of last season and he is entitled to come on for his first outing of the year at Dundalk. However, he has already had seven outings which could make him vulnerable to a less-exposed rival and the sixth from the contest on Town Moor, KICK ON, gets the vote. A winner of a good maiden on his second start over a mile, he wasn't disgraced when stepped up in class on that occasion and appeals as the type to improve plenty from his juvenile campaign. Walkinthesand showed a good level of form in two starts at Sandown over 7f and the manner in which he won on his second start suggested a step up in trip would see him in an even better light. The once-raced Kadar, a winner at Haydock in September, is another with significant potential.
Prediction : 1st Kick On 2nd Western Australia 3rd Walkinthesand

Main Edition ended last season with a good third to Just Wonderful over C&D in the Rockfel and, on that showing, would look the one to beat on form. The Oh So Sharp 1-2-3, Mot Juste, Angel's Hideaway and Sunday Star, all meet once again and merit plenty of respect. Mot Juste built on her Beverley success in good style on that occasion and can take another step forward this season, but a chance is taken with NASHIRAH. A winner at Yarmouth on her third start, Charlie Appleby's filly needs to improve on the bare form shown to date but she had two runs in Dubai in January and that could play to her advantage on this occasion.
Prediction : 1st Nashirah 2nd Main Edition 3rd Mot Juste

Charlie Appleby won this 12 months ago and unleashes another formidable looking filly here in his daughter of Starspangledbanner, CHASING DREAMS, who cost 750,000gns as a yearling. Bartat and Arasugar have crucial course experience in their favour and hold each-way possibilities, while Kemble cost 100,000 euros as a foal and the Kodiac filly is with an ideal trainer for early success.
Prediction : 1st Chasing Dreams 2nd Kemble 3rd Arasugar

ALANDALOS shaped nicely on debut in December having initially dwelt in the stalls and it would be no surprise to see Charlie Hills' half-sister to useful miler Afaak build on that to play a leading role here. Fellow Hamdan Al Maktoum contender Tatweej is an interesting newcomer and comes with a hefty 650,000gns price tag, while Rimmal is another debutant to take note of being a half-sister to a useful US performer.
Prediction : 1st Alandalos 2nd Tatweej 3rd Rimmal

SOLID STONE looked in need of a step up in trip when getting off the mark over seven furlongs at Newcastle in the autumn and Sir Michael Stoute's Shamardal colt, who cost 360,000gns as a yearling, makes plenty of appeal over this distance on his handicap debut. Marhaban is another who cost plenty as a youngster and switches to the handicap ranks following two useful wins in novice company on the all-weather, while War Tiger has impressed of late and is respected in search of a hat-trick.
Prediction : 1st Solid Stone 2nd Marhaban 3rd War Tiger
