Winner of the Portland at Doncaster last season, he has a fine record on his first outing of the season (form figures read 2113) and he is sure to be ideally suited by the nature of the track. Copper Knight ended last season in good form, winning two handicaps in the space of a month at York and Nottingham, and is likely to give another solid account. Others to consider include the Paul Midgley pairing of Line Of Reason and Final Venture, with the former bidding for his second success in the contest having landed the honours in 2017.
