The first four home from a C&D handicap at the start of the month all take each other on again. That contest was won by Porth Swtan on his debut for Garry Moss and, off 3lb higher, he has to be respected. Raselasad (second) and Hayadh (third) are entitled to be in the mix with likely improvement to come from the pair, but the vote goes to the returning COMMANDER HAN. He failed to get his head in front after winning a novice contest at Chelmsford in February last year, but ended the season in good form with a couple of placed efforts at Chelmsford and he has the potential to have improved for a winter break.Prediction : 1st Commander Han 2nd Porth Swtan 3rd Raselasad

On The Line has been in consistent form since his return in February and ran well when switched back to turf, finishing second at Redcar 12 days ago, but a handicap debutant makes the most appeal in POLITICISE. A winner at Newbury on his second outing, he bumped into a potentially smart colt at Windsor on his sole subsequent start and an opening mark of 85, along with a gelding operation over the winter, can see him take a decent step forward. Others to consider include Reggae Runner, a winner at Lingfield when last seen, and Coolagh Forest.Prediction : 1st Politicise 2nd On The Line 3rd Reggae Runner

With pace drawn all over the track, A MOMENTOFMADNESS is taken to make a winning return. Winner of the Portland at Doncaster last season, he has a fine record on his first outing of the season (form figures read 2113) and he is sure to be ideally suited by the nature of the track. Copper Knight ended last season in good form, winning two handicaps in the space of a month at York and Nottingham, and is likely to give another solid account. Others to consider include the Paul Midgley pairing of Line Of Reason and Final Venture, with the former bidding for his second success in the contest having landed the honours in 2017.Prediction : 1st A Momentofmadness 2nd Copper Knight 3rd Line Of Reason

Archie Watson won this 12 months ago and has leading claims once again with ULSTER, who has rattled the crossbar the last twice since switched to handicap company, beaten just a head on both occasions. Mark Johnston saddles a strong squad of runners and the consistent pair Austrian School and Lucky Deal may be the pick of his quartet, while Pipes Of Peace went close off this rating at Kempton last time and is interesting stepping up in trip. Prediction : 1st Ulster 2nd Austrian School 3rd Lucky Deal

Kevin Ryan looks to hold a strong hand here with the reappearing Brilliant Vanguard and recent Pontefract winner Mont Kinabalu, who tries to quickly follow up off a 5lb higher mark. However, a chance is taken on course and distance victor VENTURA GOLD, who returned in winning fashion when getting his head in front at Leicester earlier this month, and the extra furlong is in his favour here. Prediction : 1st Ventura Gold 2nd Mont Kinabalu 3rd Brilliant Vanguard
16:40 Musselburgh
CLAYTON is almost certainly not capable of running up to his Flat rating of 96 but he won't have to win this moderate contest, and his recent hurdles form is very encouraging. Grand Inquisitor has a similar profile to the selection and he also merits a place on the shortlist, while Andok and Apterix are the pick of the remaining field. Prediction : 1st Clayton 2nd Grand Inquisitor 3rd Andok
17:15 Musselburgh
SUPER JULIUS has run well in his last two starts at Pontefract and Navan and a reproduction of either of those performances should be good enough to win this contest. Gold Stone ended her 2018 campaign with a win at Lingfield in December and some encouragement can be taken from both of her subsequent efforts. The shortlist is completed by Suwaan and Amazing Grazing. Prediction : 1st Super Julius 2nd Gold Stone 3rd Suwaan
17:45 Musselburgh
PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH clearly improved for a wind operation over the winter based on his victory at Thirsk a week ago. That was his first start in 163 days and he is entitled to improve, while a 5lb rise in the ratings appears to be fair. The unexposed Tabaahy made a winning debut for these connections at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and is an obvious threat to the selection. Our Place In Loule and Gowanbuster are others who could go well. Prediction : 1st Pennsylvania Dutch 2nd Tabaahy 3rd Our Place In Loule
