Influential Lady was third in a Uttoxeter bumper last summer but then struggled at Worcester, while Barcalona and Forget Me Knot both have something to prove.

Beaten Grand Annual favourite MAGIC SAINT was an early faller on his latest start at Ayr but there is the suggestion that he might prove better than a handicapper in time and this looks a nice place to end the campaign. Sizing Platinum seems at his best at this time of the year and is down to a fair mark, while Wells De Lune enjoyed a fruitful campaign last summer and could go well if turning up after Sunday's Plumpton engagement.

FRIEND OR FOE was disappointing on his handicap debut at Newbury last month when finding little for pressure. That said, the drop in distance looks ideal and he can take advantage of arriving a fresher horse than Peppay Le Pugh, who ran two days ago over fences at Carlisle and is turned out again as Dan Skelton tries to reach 200 winners for the campaign. Tilson has an awful lot to find, even with blinkers applied for the first time.
