Musharrif has fared less well on the draw front, though he is entitled to come on for his comeback spin at Thirsk all the same and has place claims, likewise C&D scorer Bosham, who has been competing off much higher ratings on the all-weather of late.

A return to turf is likely to pose no issue and he has the potential to prove better than his new mark. Defence Treaty shaped with promise on a couple of occasions last year and can take a step forward now handicapping for the first time, while Strawberry Jack's recent placed efforts on the all-weather give him solid claims.

Never Be Enough didn't appear to get home on handicap debut at Musselburgh over 1m4f last October so is respected dropping in trip with a hood on for the first time, while Agar's Plough showed promise on his debut for Mick Easterby and could be suited by the step up in distance.

KYLIE RULES romped to success over course and distance last week, scoring by eight lengths on her debut for Ruth Carr, and can follow up under a 5lb penalty. Stringybark Creek is another course and distance winner to consider as he was denied narrowly at Nottingham on his reappearance and could have a part to play off just a 2lb higher mark, while International Man was third off this mark at Redcar earlier in the month and is respected.

OASIS PRINCE opened his account at the second attempt at Leicester and Mark Johnston's Oasis Dream colt could have a lot more to give now upped to an extended mile. Jason Ward won this last season and his Osmosis is respected, while Richard Fahey often does well here and jockey bookings suggest that Kingson is the pick of his pair, with course experience sure to stand him in good stead.
