Now a three-year-old, the son of Dubawi is bred to appreciate the step up in trip, and this fast ground should also suit. Great Bear scored on his racecourse debut at Wolverhampton in November and has to give weight away as a result, while John Gosden newcomer Make My Day is a beautifully bred son of Galileo and might be one for the notebook regardless of what happens here.

Lord Oberon landed a gamble when accounting for Cold Stare (second) and Shady Mccoy (third) at Doncaster back in November, but all three are having their first outings of the season and this much quicker ground will make things interesting for them. Wahash was third in a valuable Bath handicap eight days ago and drops back from 1m now, but this can go the way of SAFE VOYAGE, who has recorded some of his best performances when returning from absences and looked progressive last season when recording victories both here and at Galway.

OUZO shaped in three maiden starts over 6f and 7f last season as though he would be suited by the step up to a mile and Richard Hannon's colt gets that on his handicap debut. He finished fifth in big fields at Newmarket twice last season, despite failing to properly handle the dip, and a first attempt at this track might well suit off a mark of 71. Frankadore was fourth behind the classy Kadar over C&D on debut before two modest runs at Newbury and Nottingham, while Onebaba offered signs of encouragement when third at Wolverhampton 22 days ago.

ROBOTIQUE DANSEUR won nicely on her debut at Newcastle without P J McDonald getting too serious in the saddle and the daughter of Siyouni is capable of making it two on the bounce under a penalty. Dashed and Flighty Almighty both got off the mark at the second time of asking and the pair warrant a fair amount of respect, while others to consider include Fabulist, who shaped as though a drop in trip would suit over 1m2f at Newbury, and newcomer Search For Light.

I AM MAGICAL showed good promise on her three starts last year, over six and seven furlongs respectively, and the yard switch from Hugo Palmer to Charlie Fellowes, combined with a step up in trip, can see the daughter of Declaration Of War get off the mark. Listen To The Wind built on a good debut at Kempton (6f) to win at Lingfield (7f) in November and is another likely to be suited by going up in distance, while Conga, Lady Lawyer and newcomer Nespola complete the shortlist.

TAMREER ran with plenty of credit when third on her first outing for the Roger Fell stable at Newcastle last month and the daughter of New Approach makes a fair amount of appeal on handicap debut. This Girl and Saryshagann are others to take seriously, with the former particularly interesting arriving here race-fit following her neck second in first-time cheekpieces at Wolverhampton.

Chatez appeared to win the Spring Cup a shade cosily at Newbury, though the ground was riding on the slow side that day and conditions here might not be optimal. MORDIN has an absence to overcome but the form of his Cambridgeshire second to Wissahickon has been repeatedly rubber-stamped by the winner over the winter and, if the market vibes are positive, Simon Crisford's five-year-old would be particularly interesting. Ledham is open to considerable improvement off a mark of 89 for Sir Michael Stoute and he cannot be left out of calculations either.

GOLDEN GUEST has dropped 2lb lower than when striking at Doncaster last season and is expected to give a good account at this similarly galloping track. He shaped with encouragement when fourth at Lingfield last month and could be ready to strike on his third run following a break. Citta D'Oro arrives on the back of landing a double on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and has place claims, along with Shazzab, who is refitted with cheekpieces after posting a promising reappearance third at Beverley 10 days ago.
