Tadaany narrowly prevailed here when last seen just before Christmas and is a danger if returning in the same form.

Some interesting juveniles start off here, not least FULL AUTHORITY. The David O'Meara-trained Kingman colt fetched 115,000gns as a yearling and his half-brother was precocious enough to make the frame in the Windsor Castle. Dutch Decoy also makes plenty of appeal on breeding as a full-brother to the smart and durable sprinter Dutch Masterpiece. Robert Cowell went to $80,000 to acquire Strive For Glory, while Keep Busy is out of that former high-class speedster Look Busy.

Momtalik catches the eye on his first foray into handicap company, and the application of blinkers should eke out further improvement, but he bumps into a bang in-form opponent in ARCHIVE. Brian Ellison's good servant has returned seemingly as good as ever at the age of nine, supplementing a Pontefract win at Beverley, and he is rated 2lb lower on the all-weather. Royal Cosmic has already been a good money-spinner this year and is expected ro run another honest race.

Merweb didn't see a racecourse until October of his three-year-old season but quickly got the hang of things and capped a progressive late campaign with victory over a mile here. There is plenty of potential there, but ADDIS ABABA has the advantage of a recent run under his belt after possibly getting tired when fading into third over course and distance earlier in the month. Tamreer offered encouragement on her first appearance for Roger Fell but has to leave a lacklustre run at Haydock on Saturday behind.

With just four runs under his belt, Roger Varian's five-year-old BOWERMAN has evidently had his issues, another of which surfaced when he broke a blood vessel on his return to action at Nottingham. With that in mind, he still ran a cracker to finish third and must be given another chance. Bobby K is a year younger and almost as unexposed, and appears to thrive on the all-weather. He is the logical danger, although Trevithick has been in excellent form over C&D this year and won't be far away.

LORD NORTH made the best possible start to his career when comfortably accounting for an experienced rival who has since gone on to win prior to finishing fourth in Friday's always-informative Esher Cup. The John Gosden-trained Dubawi colt holds no fancy entries but it will be surprising if he doesn't make up into a Pattern performer before too long. Mostawaa sprung a C&D surprise on his all-weather debut, but the one to chase the selection home could be Simon Crisford's New Approach filly Neesaan.

STAR CRACKER does the majority of his racing over this course and distance and although he didn't show his true colours on his most recent outing, the race developed a little bit away from him and he can be forgiven that effort. Brendan is an Ayr regular but took well to the Gosforth Park surface last autumn, when he won over track and trip. Skyva didn't fire at Pontefract latest but will be much happier here.
