Romola got off the mark on her final start of 2018 and is of interest on her first outing in a handicap, while Archaeology was involved in the finish on his first start for Jedd O'Keeffe and could have more to offer after a 3lb rise.

FILLE DE REVE seemed to appreciate the drop back to 6f when winning two on the bounce at Haydock and Ascot before disappointing at Newmarket last season. NAHAARR lacks the experience of several of his rivals but has the pedigree to make up into a useful sprinter, being a son of Dark Angel, and represents a top yard who have hit full stride recently. MUGATOO placed over 1m4f on his third start at Kempton in November and appears open to improvement now switching his attention to a handicap for the first time. His pedigree offers plenty of encouragement that he could see out this longer trip. Pirate King won a maiden here last summer and a return to Town Moor could see him bounce back to form, while Seinesational is also respected, despite running off a career-high mark.

Quicksand warrants a fair amount of respect on her handicap debut now returning to turf for the first time since her debut third behind Lah Ti Dar at Newbury. She was disappointing when last sighted at Kempton but is in the right hands to resume her progression this term. However, she may face a tough task against three-year-old pair Katiesheidinlisa and AUSSIE VIEW. The former won her maiden at Newbury when improving for the step up to 1m2f and has plenty going for her, though the vote goes to the latter, who represents a yard that do very well with horses stepping up markedly in distance. She's been campaigned over 6f to 7f to date but is bred to improve for this stiffer test.
