Embour got his nose in front at Kempton last time and could have more to offer after a 2lb rise, while Beyond Equal is closely matched with the selection on their Windsor run last month and could also figure. Watchable and Naadirr are similarly respected given they have winning C&D form in the book, though preferred ahead of all is JAWWAAL, who appears the pick of the Michael Dods-trained pair and is rated only 1lb higher than when beaten by a neck over track and trip in March.
Prediction : 1st Jawwaal 2nd Embour 3rd Beyond Equal

John Gosden has picked up from where he left off last season and has made a flying start this term. His Dark Angel newcomer, LIGHT ANGEL, makes plenty of appeal here as he hails from a useful family and his stable boast a 23 per cent strike-rate with two-year-olds at this venue in the last five years. Kemble shaped with encouragement on debut at Newmarket and the 100,000-euro yearling commands respect, while the market may offer the biggest clues regarding the claims of Royal Council and Apollinaire.
Prediction : 1st Light Angel 2nd Kemble 3rd Royal Council

Roger Varian won this last season with a horse in the same ownership as LEHOOGG and the Bated Breath colt is taken to build on his recent Thirsk second to bounce back to winning ways. He lost little in defeat last time, having to concede 2lb to a useful operator, and could emulate last year's winner and go on to bigger and better things. Romola got off the mark on her final start of 2018 and is of interest on her first outing in a handicap, while Archaeology was involved in the finish on his first start for Jedd O'Keeffe and could have more to offer after a 3lb rise.
Prediction : 1st Lehoogg 2nd Romola 3rd Archaeology

FILLE DE REVE seemed to appreciate the drop back to 6f when winning two on the bounce at Haydock and Ascot before disappointing at Newmarket last season. She remains open to further improvement as a sprinter off what appears a workable mark. Tommy Taylor was third in the aforementioned Ascot contest and has a visor on for the first time which could see him leave behind an unsatisfactory effort at Newmarket, while Danielsflyer, who finished second on his first start for Michael Dods, is open to further improvement at this trip.
Prediction : 1st Fille De Reve 2nd Tommy Taylor 3rd Danielsflyer

NAHAARR lacks the experience of several of his rivals but has the pedigree to make up into a useful sprinter, being a son of Dark Angel, and represents a top yard who have hit full stride recently. Heath Charnock won in good style at Newcastle on his sole outing as a juvenile and warrants respect for a yard who typically do well with similar types, while turf debutant Astro Jakk completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Nahaarr 2nd Heath Charnock 3rd Astro Jakk

MUGATOO placed over 1m4f on his third start at Kempton in November and appears open to improvement now switching his attention to a handicap for the first time. His pedigree offers plenty of encouragement that he could see out this longer trip. Pirate King won a maiden here last summer and a return to Town Moor could see him bounce back to form, while Seinesational is also respected, despite running off a career-high mark.
Prediction : 1st Mugatoo 2nd Pirate King 3rd Seinesational

Quicksand warrants a fair amount of respect on her handicap debut now returning to turf for the first time since her debut third behind Lah Ti Dar at Newbury. She was disappointing when last sighted at Kempton but is in the right hands to resume her progression this term. However, she may face a tough task against three-year-old pair Katiesheidinlisa and AUSSIE VIEW. The former won her maiden at Newbury when improving for the step up to 1m2f and has plenty going for her, though the vote goes to the latter, who represents a yard that do very well with horses stepping up markedly in distance. She's been campaigned over 6f to 7f to date but is bred to improve for this stiffer test.
Prediction : 1st Aussie View 2nd Katiesheidinlisa 3rd Quicksand
