If he can improve for that experience then the son of Bungle Inthejungle will be very hard to beat this afternoon. Manolith is an obvious threat following his victory at Ripon a week ago but he could struggle to give 6lb to the selection, while Itwouldberudenotto and Bob's Oss are both newcomers to note.

GALLOWAY HILLS made a winning debut for this yard at Ripon a couple of weeks ago and a 4lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop him from taking this contest as well. Zumurud hit the crossbar on his seasonal return and he could give the selection the most to think about. Others to consider are Equiano Springs, John Kirkup and Secretinthepark.

GLORIOUS DANE was not beaten far when finishing second on his final start for Richard Hannon at Lingfield last month and he appears to be the one to beat this afternoon. Sweet Marmalade failed to make her mark over hurdles during the winter but she can be given a chance based on her sole previous start on the Flat. Tajdeed displayed some promise on his debut last year and he is the pick of the remainder.

SOPHIA MARIA was only beaten by half a length on her seasonal return at Pontefract last month and that form suggests that she can win a race of this nature. Coverham hit the crossbar at Chelmsford last time out and he should be in the mix once again, while Rich Approach and Redrosezorro complete the shortlist for a wide-open contest.

WAARIF has been dropped 3lb since starting his season in the Lincoln and is now rated only 2lb higher than when he won at Ayr in September. If he can make the most of his low draw then he might be able to get the better of his stablemate Anythingtoday, who caught the eye over 1m2f at Ripon last time but is berthed out in stall 13. Former John Gosden representative Fennaan has dropped to a good mark and shaped with plenty of encouragement on debut for Philip Makin at Musselburgh last month. Spring Cup third Borodin and King's Slipper, who has progressed nicely on the all-weather, are others to note.

NOOSHIN was handed a mark of 77 after finishing fourth over this trip at Wolverhampton last month and should take all of the beating if running to the same level as when rattling the crossbar over 1m at Kempton in March. Material Girl blew away the cobwebs at Newcastle recently and makes some appeal on her novice second at Newmarket in November, while Shaqwar is entitled to build on her C&D fifth last summer and could also take a hand.

JABBAROCKIE was touched off by a neck over this trip at Southwell recently but he was perfectly entitled to need that outing, which was his first start since October, and he wouldn't need to find a great deal of improvement to gain compensation, albeit he's rated 2lb higher for this return to turf. Bowson Fred was having his first start since undergoing wind surgery when fourth at Ripon recently and has place claims, likewise grade dropper Billy Dylan.
