Reflektor has been running well on the all-weather of late and won't mind conditions, while Camacho Chief progressed nicely at the end of last season and could have more to offer this campaign.

CIRCUS MAXIMUS improved with each start as a juvenile and has strong form with the likes of Persian King and 2000 Guineas hero Magna Grecia when third behind the pair at Newmarket in the Autumn Stakes. He also finished behind the latter when fourth in the Vertem Futurity and, being a son of Galileo, is expected to thrive for the step up in distance. Stable companion Mohawk, impressive maiden winner Fox Chairman and Bath handicap scorer Living Legend complete the shortlist.

DROGON represents a stable who enjoy targeting this meeting and he has the ideal draw in stall four on handicap debut having enjoyed a mostly consistent juvenile campaign. Pacino won at Beverley on his latest outing and has Sean Davis on using his valuable 5lb claim, while his stable companion, King Of Tonga, has finished in the first three on all five outings of his career and may not have reached his ceiling yet.

Magic Circle won the Chester Cup at this meeting 12 months ago and he may prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Morando.

SAM COOKE looked progressive last season for Ralph Beckett, ending his campaign with a cosy success at York ahead of the reopposing Lariat (third), and looks poised to confirm that form on his handicap debut off a mark of 85. The step up to 12 furlongs can see him in an even better light in 2019, and it is worth noting that he has been gelded over the winter. Mister Chiang should appreciate this extra yardage after a promising Doncaster return in March.

CROWNTHORPE scored with plenty in hand at Beverley three days ago, landing a gamble in the process, and could prove tough to stop from his low draw under Sean Davis once more.
