STRONGBOWE put in a very encouraging performance when overcoming greenness to finish third on his debut at Cork last Friday. The son of Siyouni is entitled to improve for that outing and he could be very hard to beat as long as the quick return is not a problem. Elite Trooper Grey is a consistent performer who will be hard to keep out of the frame, while Hasankey and Eminent Authority are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Strongbowe 2nd Elite Trooper Grey 3rd Hasankey

FOXTROT LIV has not been disgraced in three starts at Group/Listed level since her maiden victory at the Curragh last August and the daughter of Foxwedge should outclass her rivals. Cnoc An Oir finished fourth in a competitive race at Cork last time out and she edges out Harriet's Force to be the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Foxtrot Liv 2nd Cnoc An Oir 3rd Harriets Force

Stranagone was only narrowly denied when last seen on the all-weather in March and she has to be shortlisted for this contest, although her previous form on turf has to be a concern. With that in mind, preference is for RAYITA, who has displayed promise on all three previous starts. The daughter of Raven's Pass makes her debut for this yard and should not be underestimated. Myth Creation ran a few times in the US last year and she merits a market inspection.
Prediction : 1st Rayita 2nd Stranagone 3rd Myth Creation

CAREFULLY has been a bit disappointing so far, given her outstanding pedigree, but the daughter of War Front put in a career best at Dundalk last time out. She makes her handicap debut and an opening mark of 64 may underestimate her ability. Pensylvania Avenue was far from disgraced at Cork last month and he may have more improvement left to come. The shortlist is completed by Red Sole Diva and She's My Dream.
Prediction : 1st Carefully 2nd Pensylvania Avenue 3rd Red Sole Diva

TACEEC was a comfortable winner over this trip at Naas late last month and there is a good chance that the pick of Adrian McGuinness' pair may have a lot more to come off a 6lb higher mark. Voyageofdiscovery and Cautious Approach have been making the podium with regularity lately at Dundalk and could transfer that form to turf, while Doogan's Warren went close last time and is only 1lb higher.
Prediction : 1st Taceec 2nd Doogans Warren 3rd Cautious Approach

CONRON, who was a comfortable winner on his last start in this sphere, continued his good form with a near miss in a competitive Punchestown handicap hurdle earlier this month, and Jessica Harrington's dual-purpose performer could be the one to side with. He is 14lb higher than that Clonmel victory over 2m last month, but is clearly in rude health and could still be well ahead of the assessor. Jake Peter had a fantastic 2018 and nearly picked up where he left off when second at Limerick last time. He makes appeal off a 3lb higher mark, while narrow Navan winner Venezia is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Conron 2nd Jake Peter 3rd Venezia

PERSIAN LION, who took a Leopardstown handicap over a furlong further in useful fashion last summer, will not mind the drop to this distance on his reappearance. He was not overly disgraced in Group 3 company on his final start of 2018 over 2m and he is a good bit better than that result suggests. Flat To The Max has race fitness on his side and could build on his recent effort in the charity race at the Punchestown Festival, while Rasiym has picked up a silver medal on both outings so far and may improve for the step up in trip.
Prediction : 1st Persian Lion 2nd Flat To The Max 3rd Rasiym
