FIRST OF NEVER has a very good record at this track and that includes his seven-length victory over C&D last time out. An 8lb rise in the ratings for that success is fair and the veteran merits the utmost respect this afternoon. Zabeel Star ran well on the Flat a couple of weeks ago and he has to be noted on his return to hurdling, while Hey Bob is the pick of the remainder. Prediction : 1st First Of Never 2nd Zabeel Star 3rd Hey Bob

ISTIMRAAR has won both of his starts since rejoining Dan Skelton's yard and the in-form eight-year-old is extremely hard to oppose this afternoon. Jokers And Rogues and Roxyfet both have very good records at this track and it would be no surprise to see either of them in the mix today. Agentleman displayed good form in three starts last year and he merits a market inspection on his return to action. Prediction : 1st Istimraar 2nd Jokers And Rogues 3rd Roxyfet

FIX SUN won a minor Flat race in France when last seen in March and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for Nicky Henderson's gelding to make a winning debut over hurdles. See The Sea only found one too good at Huntingdon last month and she is likely to give the selection the most to think about, as Cryogenics displayed very little ability in three starts on the Flat. Prediction : 1st Fix Sun 2nd See The Sea 3rd Cryogenics

The best of Caius Marcius' form over hurdles would give him a fantastic chance of getting on the scoresheet, with his previous chase experience a positive. However, it may be worth siding with MON PORT, who has always been held in high regard by connections and was seen to much better effect in the latter part of last season, winning twice over timber at Market Rasen. Sue Smith's Lucky Lucarno could improve for the switch to fences and is another to note. Prediction : 1st Mon Port 2nd Caius Marcius 3rd Lucky Lucarno

BAISER INTERDIT represents a very rare runner at this track for Nicky Henderson and this offers the chance for the Seven Barrows newcomer to go one better than her second in her sole outing at Pau, having switched ownership to the double green of Simon Munir and Issac Souede in the interim. Richard Johnson catches the eye aboard Emma Lamb, who returns to the venue of her best performances earlier in her career, while Takingitallin has looked useful in bumpers and could run well on her hurdles bow. Prediction : 1st Baiser Interdit 2nd Emma Lamb 3rd Takingitallin

BURNING ISSUES caused a bit of a surprise when getting on the scoresheet over course and distance last month, making a successful first outing for Joanne Foster, and the 12-year-old could thrive once again following a fair 8lb rise. The consistent John Williams is just 1lb higher than his last winning rating and is likely to be thereabouts, while Iskabeg Lane will appreciate the return to this distance for a team with decent record in this sphere at this venue. Prediction : 1st Burning Issues 2nd John Williams 3rd Iskabeg Lane
17:15 Sedgefield
SHANROE built on his promising Ludlow debut to open his account with an easy five-length victory at Hexham last month and Karl Thornton's Irish raider, who is open to further progress, will be difficult to stop adding further success if in the same form. Carry On has been off the track since scoring at Huntingdon in October and makes his first outing for Donald McCain, while Harry Skelton is an eye-catching jockey booking aboard Carlisle winner Connective. Prediction : 1st Shanroe 2nd Carry On 3rd Connective
