A poor contest on paper and it would be disappointing if GENERALISATION was unable to take advantage of this opportunity. He has shown bits of promise throughout his career and, on the evidence of what his rivals have achieved, looks to have an excellent chance of getting off the mark. Dayereh showed enough on her sole hurdles outing at Sligo last July to suggest she could be in the mix, while Patriciadplasterer had excuses for a disappointing debut over timber at Wexford as she scoped dirty afterwards.

COLENSO won in good style on his handicap debut at Wexford and was arguably value for further than the winning margin having made a bad mistake at the second-last. The son of New Approach went up 7lb in the handicap for that win but he looks capable of defying the rise. Lleyton was disappointing on his last outing over hurdles at Thurles in November, but warrants consideration on his two efforts on the Flat last month. Others to consider include Beliou Le Fume, on her yard debut for Henry De Bromhead, and Great Cleni.

ALLDUCKORNODINNER has finished second in three of his last four outings, including at Perth off a 5lb higher mark than he carries in Ireland, and Gavin Cromwell's gelding can land his first success over hurdles. Galuppi shaped at Sligo last month as though a step back up in trip would prove no issue, while Manomine and Shantelle complete the shortlist on their recent form.

The pick of the remainder may be Milomynit, a chase debutant representing a trainer whose runners are often well prepared for their fencing bow.

DOUBLE WINDSOR showed a good attitude in the finish when scoring by a short head over 3m1f at Wexford last time and those battling qualities should stand him in good stead as drops back in trip here. Thats Mypresenting was an impressive C&D winner in 2017 and could also figure if returning to that level of form.

MYRONS needs to step up on the level of form he showed in a similar contest over 3m at Cork last month but he won between the flags last year and makes more appeal on his respectable third behind Ucello Conti at Thurles on his preceding start under Rules. Doyen Bay won a point-to-point impressively in March and is considered the main threat, though a big run from Super Citizen, a point winner eight days ago, is also forecast.
