Falathaat showed plenty of ability in two starts as a juvenile, finishing third at Kempton and second at Wolverhampton. She has to be considered for Godolphin and Saeed bin Suroor, but her lack of turf experience tips the scales in favour of the Coolmore-owned MAKE A WISH. Simon Crisford's filly was a shade disappointing on her last start of 2018, but she had previously gone close at Nottingham and Brighton so could be a major player on her return. Mendamay has a recency edge, having finished third at odds of 100-1 on her debut at this track.

Makanah beat Bowson Fred to land the spoils at Thirsk and could confirm his superiority, while Blue De Vega has often threatened to land a decent pot and gives Robert Cowell a strong hand in this as he also runs Hadaf. Duke Of Firenze was a battling winner at Thirsk on Saturday but has a 4lb penalty, so MERRY BANTER gets the vote. Paul Midgley's mare won on her last visit to this track and showed she's getting back to full speed when third at Epsom latest.

Kwanza led for a long way when second at Newcastle last time and is interesting on her turf debut, while Elixsoft made the frame at Newcastle off a 4lb higher mark latest but appears to be more at home on artificial surfaces. Roger Charlton has only had one previous runner at Redcar in the last five years, so has evidently earmarked this race for the Dubawi gelding, who plugged on to finish in midfield over 1m4f at Salisbury last time.
