UNIVERSAL GLEAM scored on fast ground at Hamilton five days ago and this past course winner is fancied to go in again for Keith Dalgleish under a 5lb penalty. That run was especially impressive given that it was his first since August, and he can account for Outside Inside, who ran better than his finishing position of fifth suggested at Newcastle when last seen in March, and Najashee, who should enjoy fast ground on stable debut for Roger Fell.

Dragon Mountain makes some appeal on his all-weather victory off 1lb lower in September, while there may be better to come from Marjorie Fife's new recruit Guvenor's Choice, who is having his second start following a wind operation.

Irish raider Footstepsintime picked up some minor money over this trip at Gowran earlier in the month and is expected to go well, despite racing from 1lb out of the handicap, while Betty Grable has been in good order at Newcastle and has an obvious chance if carrying her form back onto turf.
