DREAM CATCHING had his excuses at Ascot last time when 3lb 'wrong' at the weights and on ground that was probably soft enough for him, so a much better effort is expected this time with conditions to suit. Andrew Balding's charge can continue his earlier progress at the expense of Baltic Prince, who isn't getting any younger but looked as good as ever last year, and Department Of War, who is interesting now with the Stuart Williams team.

DESIROUS turned some useful efforts in defeat into a first victory when successful at Kempton in October and Ralph Beckett's daughter of Kingman could have plenty more to come now entering the handicap ranks on her reappearance. Alan King's Tronada is another handicap debutant with smart form in the novice ranks to consider, while Pennywhistle was only beaten a neck on her first outing of 2019 and is just 2lb higher here. Richard Hannon's consistent Al Messila is also considered.

FIFTH POSITION created a big impression when winning narrowly at Nottingham late last month and the strength of that form was boosted when the second won impressively off a mark of 93 at York last week. Persian Moon rarely runs a bad race and he should be in the mix once again, while Private Secretary and Kaloor are others who could go well.

PUDS made a successful transition back to turf when scoring here over five furlongs earlier this month and Richard Hughes' in-form four-year-old makes plenty of appeal once again off a 4lb higher mark. Lake Volta went close over seven furlongs at Thirsk at the weekend and may be suited by the drop back in trip, while consistent pair Areen Heart and Martineo bring smart form to the table and have to be respected.

EMENEM is unexposed over this distance and looks ready to claim an overdue success now under the guidance of Jamie Spencer. The five-year-old was far from disgraced when 2lb 'wrong' at the weights at Epsom a month ago, and should appreciate this drop in class back on quicker ground. Knight Crusader remains in excellent form and handles varying ground, while Rydan has a 6lb rise to contend with for a cosy success here over two furlongs less three weeks ago.

Plenty of these have claims but none more so than ALL BACK TO MINE, who was not beaten far at all when finishing second on her seasonal debut at Brighton at the beginning of the month. Devils Roc and Show Me The Bubbly have to be respected following their victories in recent weeks, while Khafooq and Valentino Sunrise are others who could go well.
